Francois has been meditating since he was very little and was always very interested in the subject.
Always asking his mom: "what am I doing here, or who am I? Who is looking through my eyes? Am I the only one having this experience? or why are adults so serious and angry, is that what every child is bound to become when they grow up?"
He was guided, from a very yound age by his mom, to cultivate that space of innocence, awareness and peace in his heart, and not to get too lost in the world. Guided by various spiritual masters in the art of meditation and how to dwell and remain purely aware, enjoying everything fully in this world, but needing nothing. Art was always how he expressed and journalled his journey.
After surviving a near death experience, Francois's whole perspective on life changed even more dramatically. Rooting him firmly in the present moment, enjoying fully each and every moment. Francois has been journaling daily with colored pencils and art brushes, the enjoyment of being in this endless field of gratitude and peace which he calls "reporting from heaven." Having all the time in the world, reporting from eternity, Francois loves sketching just for the love of sketching. Francois delights in drawing his little characters "The Yogi Petz" just for the fun of it, basking in joy with them, describing the art of stillness, like a child plays with his toys just for the fun of it, enjoying the process and sharing that with the world.
Francois has been  blissfully decorating, his virtual Art journal since 2009, sharing with the world his illustrated spiritual realizations. (Click HERE to look at the original Sketches in Stillness blog).

Many of his sketches have gone viral on Facebook, and are being enjoyed monthly, by millions of people
from all over the world.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and can express an idea more clearly than any words can. It can connect the mind to the heart and gently bring you back to yourself, to that place of childlike innocence, peace, love and authenticity, burried deep inside our hearts. While there is very little grown up in a child, there is a lot of child in every grown up, craving to come out and be seen without judgment. That inner child wants to be acknowledged, nurtured and embraced.
To a child this world is brand new, gift wrapped and wondrous. Francois's Sketch try to remind adults to see themsleves, one another and the world, again like so.

"Nothing can equal the joy of using one's talent as an instrument to give a little light and peace to the world", Francois noted in an interview.

Francois and the Yogi Petz will soon offer tiny classes in the art of inspiration and regaining and enjoying that space of innocence, love and stillness.

It is because of readers like you that Francois keeps bringing love and peace to the world, one sketch at a time. It has been a joy for him, to have freely offered every little sketch from his heart to yours for the past 10 years.
